    Description

    The Siteimprove Search Insights team is responsible for developing and maintaining the tools our customers use to understand and optimize their digital marketing and SEO efforts. We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer who is highly collaborative in their approach to developing software, is driven by solving important customer problems, and always seeks to raise the bar.

    What you will be doing

    • Drive design and implementation of new systems: write code and design APIs and pipelines. Ensure that our systems are consistently built for stability, performance, and scalability.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers and engineers.
    • Maintain, monitor, and improve our existing systems with a focus on service excellence: apply industry standards and new technologies where appropriate.

    What we will require of you

    • Bachelor s/master s degree in computer science or any related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
    • 8+ years of professional post-college experience in software development.
    • 4+ years of experience designing and building
    • Strong technical proficiency, capable of problem-solving and applying critical thinking.
    • A deep understanding of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures and a commitment to technical excellence
    • Alternative wording: Strong individual problem solver with a pragmatic mindset. A robust understanding of core software design principles, algorithms, and data structures - and when to apply them.
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

    What we will love about you

    • Several years of experience working with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, and similar.
