    What we do

We're on a mission to simplify and accelerate how teams and organisations develop solutions for the cloud. Langstack is an AI-powered development platform that enables teams to collaborate, create, and manage AWS solutions with unmatched efficiency. Azure and GCP support is on the horizon.

We're convinced that there's a better way to develop for public clouds, and we're crafting the programming paradigm that will lead the charge. Making cloud computing simple for software creators everywhere.

In many ways we're still a startup despite being several years into the journey. We've raised €1.8M over the years and have achieved profitability.

    Why consider Langstack

As a Student Software Engineer, you'll join a small international team of driven, enthusiastic, and friendly team members with an average age closer to 50 than 25. A few of us began our computing journeys with a Commodore PET, while others started on an Amiga 500, to provide some context.

Your role will span across our key business functions:

  • In our consulting team, you'll develop solutions for our large customers in the energy, telco, and financial sectors using React/Angular with Langstack as a backend platform
  • In our product team, you'll develop new features using React/NodeJS for Langstack itself

Here's a couple of things worth mentioning about working at Langstack:

  • We pay competitive salaries. Our compensation is not at the market's peak, but well above its bottom.
  • The position offers a wide range of responsibilities from hands-on coding and solution design to managing smaller projects end-to-end. You'll partly be working independently and in close collaboration with other team members, and for the right candidate there'll be plenty of opportunities to grow professionally.
  • We're a remote team working together with a high degree of flexibility. We use Discord as our digital HQ and meet at locations in Copenhagen - where most of us live - whenever necessary. As part of the team you can organise your time and structure your work in a way that best fits your studies.
  • The engineering work we do is exciting and spans compiler design, source code generation, creating a visual language for backend programming, implementing an AI-first cloud IDE, juggling multi-cloud abstractions, and much more.
You'll be expected to meet high professional standards. It's important to us that we're committed to not just creating software but to ensuring that our solutions deliver real business value. We're renowned for delivering impactful results for our clients, and we take great pride in our work.

Last but not least, we're united by a shared drive to develop products that tackle complex challenges. Joining our team places you at the heart of reimagining and shaping the future of software development.

    Qualifications
  • Nearing the completion of a Bachelor's or actively pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline, or holding equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and preferably an OOP backend language such as NodeJS, Java or C#
  • Solid understanding of web development and REST-based application design with a proven track record of building SPA applications using React/NextJS or Angular
  • Familiarity with version control systems
  • Strong grasp of data structures and data processing
  • You're systematic, well-structured, and can work independently
  • Proficiency in Danish and residency in Denmark is a plus

    Our process

If you, against all odds, made it this far we would love to hear from you.

    This is our hiring process:

  • Preliminary online interview
  • Online technical interview with our CTO and an observer from the team
  • Final interview at a location in Copenhagen or online
  • You made it. A warm welcome on the team
We welcome unique perspectives and experiences in shaping Langstack and encourage people from all kinds of backgrounds to apply. Let's build together.
