    Consultancy – Design of EuroMed Rights Fundraising Strategy

    Background

    EuroMed Rights is a prominent network of human rights organizations in the Euro-Mediterranean region, with 70 organizations from 30 countries working towards promoting human rights and democracy. The vision is human rights and democracy for all in the region, achieved by enhancing collaboration between organizations and influencing policies.

    During 2022-2027, EuroMed Rights will focus on political and organizational development goals, including strengthening democracy, gender equality, accountability, and financial sustainability.

    This consultancy is related to improving financial sustainability and diversification.

    EuroMed Rights' income largely comes from grants from donors like the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and others.

    The organization's governance involves a General Assembly and an Executive Committee overseeing the strategy and daily management.

    To ensure financial stability, EuroMed Rights has a structured Fundraising Strategy and architecture in place.

    Objectives

    The assignment aims to assist in designing and finalizing the EuroMed Rights Fundraising Strategy.

    Outputs

    • An Inception Report with an overview, key stakeholders list, and methodology outline.
    • A draft Fundraising Strategy, presentation, and final strategy.

    Scope of Work

    • Desk study, interviews, inception report, strategy presentation, and design/writing of strategy.

    Deliverables Deadline

    Various stages culminating in the final Fundraising Strategy by April 2023.

    Methodology

    • Document review, interviews, and strategy design/writing.

    Timing and Reporting

    Consultancy activities to be completed by June 2023, with regular updates to key contacts.

    Organisation

    Management

    • Managed by the Fundraising Coordinator overseeing consultant selection and feedback.
    • External Consultant
      • Prepares and conducts consultancy, responsible for findings, and reporting.
      • Regularly updates on progress and organizes key events.

    Qualifications of the External Consultancy

    • Expertise in project management, fundraising, and collaboration with non-profits.
    • Language skills in English, French desirable.

      • Financial proposal

      Consultancy budget is a maximum of EUR 10,000, including all fees and expenses.

      Payments split into two parts upon agreement signature and approval of the Fundraising Strategy.
