Responsible for defining a new post market set-up and organization change for handling a new Medical Device digital product line. The new digital product line requires a radically different approach to how products are developed, controlled, maintained and supported compared to Coloplast normal way of working.

Acting as internal consultant on outsourcing incl. strategies, org. set-up, contract templates and negotiations. 

Achievements 

Definition of, and stakeholder buy-in for the new set-up, including: 

  • Change Management including process definition, people development and motivation into the SW area new to Coloplast.

DENCRYPT offers a complete solution for protection of your mobile communication with the highest security possible. 
The solution consists of a complete secure VOIP system with front (APP) and backend (Cloud). 

Achievements 

  • Full responsible for the company reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • People manager for the leadership team and overall responsible for the organization.
  • Complete definition of product, strategy, organization setup, people hire, work-mode definition, roadmap/portfolio, project planning and execution, administration setup, contract negotiation, business case calculation, sales and marketing, CRM setup. Customer support setup.
  • Successful product launch according to plan set at company start. First large customer landed (The Danish Defense). 

 

 

NOKIA

Director / Outsourcing 
(Head of Partner Account) 

July 2009 – March 2012 

Partner/supplier selection and management, responsible for: 

R&D, Due diligence (Incl. FRI, FRP and FRQ’s), legal agreements, negotiations, budgeting (50 MEur/yr), work mode definition, portfolio alignment.

Responsible for global engine program and portfolio management, reporting to Mobile Phones top management. 

People manager for the account team and were responsible for change management and motivation of a team of 80 people.

Accountable for the activities of more than 300 people including outsourcing.

Achievements

  • Successfully managed the change of internal development to external development of HW and SW while keeping the motivation and positive spirit of the internal employees.
  • Optimized work mode between Nokia and Intel, optimized cost, improved quality and  simplified legal contracts which increased the transparency of requirements and limitations. 
  • Synchronized roadmaps and portfolio to decrease redundant R&D cost. Lead internal Program managers and external Directors as direct reports.

Overall responsible for several release programs, implementing 3'rd party HW and SW.

Head of a spearhead program, which introduced a new chipset and SW to the Nokia Mobile Phone Programs. 
Focus was on introducing new way of working at Nokia and Supplier. 

Achievements 

- Work-mode, documentation practice and communication alignment, formed the way of working for the similar projects to follow. 
- Lead project managers as direct reports.

BB Technology program. 
Spearhead program for further miniaturization of the Base Band. 

Achievements

- World leading new technologies were introduced in close co-operation with suppliers. (e.g. Samsung and TI)

- 4-way supplier management and contract negotiation. 

 

HW Manager 

September 2002 – January 2003 

Responsible for the HW of the radically different 8800 and 7280 phones. 

Directly involved in the full process from concept definition, industrial design, HW and SW specification and development.

Achievements

- New ways of miniaturization of the HW was introduced, in order to support the industrial design. Optimized supplier management for shorter development time. 

- Inventor of a patented new industrial design. (Nokia 8800 pop-up display/keyboard) 

 

Senior Project Leader 

September 2001 – August 2002 

Base Band responsible for a WCDMA (3G) concept phone 

Achievements

- Successfully combined several areas of expertise throughout the entire Nokia organization to develop one of the first WCDMA (3G) basebands. 

 

PE Manager 

December 2000 – August 2001 

Overall responsible for the high volume 3210-phone program until ramp down. Lead a multidisciplinary international organization including the dedicated production in Ulm Germany. 

Achievements

- Introduced several variants for operator customers. Secured optimal production process and execution. Further developed the quality process and took hard decisions like full line-stop. – 

- Ensured further product improvement and cost optimizations. Optimized the organization and communication flow. 
- Received the Nokia Quality Award 2001, together with the team. 

 

Team Leader / Task force leader

July 1998 – November 2000

 

Phone product Base Band Team Leader for the 3210, 6210 and 7110 phones. 

Achievements

- Lead two separate teams of baseband designers to the completion of the two products.  

- Successfully used the combined expertise in the two teams while still having full focus on the two very different products plans and issues. 

- Boosted the team spirit for especially one of the teams. 

- Completed updates to legacy baseband design. 

- Introduced new automatic use feedback initiatives, which led to the correction several errors, prior to the successful launch of the Nokia 6210 phone.

 

DANTEC MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY 

HW Design Engineer 

1995 – June 1998 (3 years) 

ASIC / VHDL design. 
Design of advanced flow measurement equipment for the car industry 

Achievements                              

- Completed redesign of laser-based flow measurement instruments.

Chair of the Cyber Security Expert Group Medical Devices,

                      August 2016 – August 2020

Achievements

Representing the Danish Medical Device Industry Association in cyber security related activities within the Danish healthcare system. Giving input to the national cyber security strategy as well as the ongoing national threat analysis in close cooperation with the Danish Centre for Cyber Security, Sundhedsdatastyrelsen and lægemiddelstyrelsen.

 

Facilitating a common strategy for handling Cyber Security in the Danish Medical Device Industry with a defined process for products and infrastructure protection, preparing the industry for the firm regulatory demands to come within Cyber security.

 

Participating in the development of the UL2900 standard recognized by the FDA for proving prober handling of Cyber Security in Medical Devices to be sold in the US.

 

Chair of the GDPR network group

Achievements

Facilitating expert knowledge are provided for the proper handling of GDPR issues in all aspects of the Danish Medical Device industry including HR, Sales, Marketing, Finance and general IT.
