    The Position
    As Simulation Engineer in Device Development, you will be working closely with a team of other simulation engineers, system engineers, and mechanical engineers. The daily work requires to solve complex mechanical issues with finite element analysis and Moldflow.

    Some of your main tasks include:


    • Utilize finite element analysis to investigate mechanical issues.

    • Explore dimension changes impact on device functionality.

    • Solve assembly machinery issue and mould core stress cracks.

    • Optimize components for moulding using Moldflow.

    • Contribute to establish new material models.

    • Identify the optimal design parameters for deep drawing processes.

    The position is based in Hillerød, Denmark and may occasionally have opportunities for oversea travel.

    Qualifications
    To be considered for this position, we expect you to:


    • Hold at least a Master ́s degree in mechanical, material, or any other relevant engineering degree and have 2-3 years of experience, newly educated are welcome to apply

    • Have experience with CAD software (preferable CATIA) and FEM software (preferably Abaqus).

    • Have a fundamental understanding of plastics' mechanical properties.

    • Have strong networking and stakeholder management skills which allow you to set direction and thrive in a complex stakeholder environment.

    • Be fluent in English, both spoken and written.

    On a personal level, you are well-structured and have a systematic way of working, seeking simple and effective solutions within the complexity of simulations and real-life production and design challenges. You have a "never-give-up" attitude and relish the challenge of complex problems. You can challenge stakeholders and colleagues in discussions as well as agree on compromises.


    You thrive in both independent and teamwork environments, enjoying the benefits of independence and collaboration.

    About the department
    The position is in Device Development which is part of Novo Nordisk Device & Manufacturing Development (DMD) in Hillerød. Device Development holds the design responsibility for Novo Nordisk's medical devices and delivery systems and is the link between R&D and production.

    In Device Development, the main task is to maintain marketed products as well as develop new drug device variants on existing product platforms. Our deliverables have direct impact on our ability to deliver to the market, on patient safety, and on our compliance with the requirements of the authorities.

    You will join the Platform Maturity team and be working alongside colleagues with various educations and work experience. You can look forward to an exciting job engaging with multiple stakeholders at global and local level.
