The Role

As our Senior Backend Engineer, you work remotely and are a true all-around talent who takes ownership from day one by working independently while being an effective communicator.

Your expertise will drive the enrichment of incoming data across our internal systems, that are focused on analyzing internet-based bad behavior and abuse that informs our core products and services.

With your deep technical experience with data systems with high volume, velocity, and variety, you'll be a key member of our Data Services team.

In this role, you operate as a strong engineer to contribute to the success of our company.

By taking responsibility and contributing your ideas, you bring our products to the next level while demonstrating how agentic AI can multiply developer productivity.

The Impact you make in this role

Implement new features within our data processing environment with high volume, velocity, and variety to enhance performance across Abusix products and services.

Write comprehensive tests and documentation to maintain and improve code quality, and enhance both customer and developer experiences.
Update and maintain the codebase to address evolving requirements.
Identify and discuss problems within the team to enhance our products and services.
Improve the infrastructure architecture to ensure seamless operations.

The skills and traits that let you thrive in this role

Able to excel both autonomously and as part of a team, even with minimal direction in an ambiguous, growing company.

Proven track record working with data systems with high volume, velocity, and variety.
Strong background in software development using modern programming languages.
Hands-on experience with using agentic AI in production environments.
Familiarity with message queue systems, all types of databases, and data storage engines.
