    The role and its responsibilities
    One of the top priorities within the Novo Nordisk Global Supply Chain Strategy is to lift our end-to-end planning maturity to serve our ambitious growth plans and expanding patient base. We will be addressing all core planning processes from demand planning to supply planning across the various time horizons, operational execution to strategic, whilst enhancing existing governance around S&OP and S&OE.
    To bring excellence in this role you will also lead the upgrade of people skills and competencies in the global supply chain planning organization and recommend improvements to our advanced planning system.

    Key responsibilities for your role will be:

  • Strategic Vision: Develop and drive the strategic vision for End-to-End Planning transformation, aligning it with the organization's overall objectives and goals.
  • Leadership and Oversight: Provide leadership and oversight for the End-to-End Planning transformation program, ensuring that all initiatives are in line with the broader business strategy.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure that End to End Planning transformation efforts are integrated across the organization.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within End-to-End Planning, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the supply chain.
  • Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with End to End Planning transformation, ensuring that potential challenges are identified and mitigated.
  • Talent Development: Support the development and training of team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and expertise to drive End to End Planning transformation.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with external vendors or partners to support the End to End Planning transformation agenda.
  • Digitization: Suggest technology and digital solutions to enhance End to End Planning capabilities and streamline processes. What are we looking for?
    As our Senior Director of Supply Chain Planning Transformation you must be an experienced candidate who can continue to accelerate our planning maturity. Overall, we are looking for a candidate with great leadership skills, married with solid influencing skills who can manage and build partnerships with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk. We expect you to have:
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, or another relevant field.
  • 10+ years in leadership or project management positions driving large scale transformations.
  • Solid understanding of the end-to-end supply chain, preferably in the life science industry and have led enterprise-wide planning processes such as S&OP.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management competences.
  • Ability to collaborate in a very diverse organization. As a person you have a high level of energy, a positive mind-set and are open towards other people and new ideas. You thrive in a dynamic and international environment with numerous tasks and changing priorities, while staying focused on details and managing deadlines. You can work in a structured and independent manner and are ready to push the agenda forward. You must be fluent in English, both written and oral. About the department
    You will be part of a global supply chain organization, covering everything from production planning to strategic supply chain. The Supply Chain Transformation Office (TMO) is a newly established function under the global NN Supply Chain. The TMO has been put in place to drive several strategic workstreams across the full End-to-End supply chain of NN. The department will be growing in 2024 to become a strong function of SC +20 experts/leaders to drive the changes across NN and to ensure strong and impactful implementation in the line of business functions.
