Mechanical Technician at Hooton Bio Power, Cheshire, UK

Are you a pro in mechanical engineering, especially in operational/maintenance experience? Do you rock at Health, Safety, and Environment standards (bonus if you're NEBOSH or IOSH certified)? If so, we want you on board as our cool Mechanical Technician at Hooton Bio Power.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

• Handling all mechanical and rotating equipment maintenance tasks
• Inputting mechanical activities, spares, and data into the CMMS system and assisting in maintaining detailed history records
• Providing technical support to Operations
• Conducting equipment monitoring controls like vibration and oil analysis
• Adhering to company safety rules and procedures
• Implementing proactive measures to enhance plant operations and engineering solutions
• Supervising Contract Support Organizations for maintenance activities
• Ensuring quality control within the maintenance department
• Supporting other UK business units when needed
• Cultivating a teamwork culture for operational and maintenance efficiency

Background:

• ONC/City and Guilds/NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in power generation operations and maintenance, including fuel and ash handling systems, steam turbines, boilers, and more
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance on various equipment like pumps, valves, fans, and more
• Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and P&ID diagrams
• Great communication skills, proficient with Microsoft applications, and a motivated team player
