    Are you an experienced MHE Trainer within a Warehouse environment looking for a new challenge?

    The successful candidate will deliver on site Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) training at relevant levels (new, refresher, conversion etc) on site to ensure operators are of legally and regulatory compliant and staff are able to operate MHE safely to accredited RTITB / ITSAR Standards.

    When no training is required or exists or if the needs of the business dictate, MHE Trainer will be expected to assist with general warehouse tasks as directed by FLM or Shift Manager

    In addition to the main duties and responsibilities listed below the MHE Trainer will be expected to perform other duties commensurate with their skills and abilities.

  • Ensure all staff are trained to RTITB/ITSAR standard and are all safe, compliant and able to operate MHE to required standards.
  • Ensure the Company's Health and Safety policies are adhered to, and all operational legislative requirements are fulfilled. Maintain a clean and tidy working environment compliant with HSE regulations.
  • Keep and maintain records within employee files with regards MHE training, refreshers, conversions, or any assessments required following an incident.
  • Liaise with shift management team to ensure balance is maintained for workload vs. training requirements.
  • Ensure standards are observed and maintained with employees following MHE training and that the operator is always acting in a safe manner
  • Travel to other sites within the Maersk network to assist with MHE training (Travelling Costs / expenses will be paid)
  • Ensure stock is stored, handled, and transported securely and in line with company procedures and minimise any damage to stock to as close to zero, all in a timely manner
  • Undertake forklift truck duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly and warehouse guidelines observed.
  • Report any incidents of non-conformance to the warehouse management team.
  • Ensure Company guidelines and operating procedures are followed at all times.
  • Ensure compliance to security requirements.
  • Technical Skills:


    • MHE truck trainers' certificate – RTITB or ITSAR Accredited (Essential)


    • Manual Handling (Essential)


    • Health and Safety Legalisation Awareness (Desired)


    • Microsoft Office Skills (Desired)

    Soft Skills:


    • Good communication skills – verbal and written (Essential)


    • Strong team player (Essential)


    • Patience and Flexibility (Essential)
