Do you want to initiate and drive exciting new initiatives to transform how we work with the cleaning of production equipment? Are you ready to establish new cleaning standards and simplify our processes to ensure the right quality at the right price for the stakeholders? Are you attentive to details, and enjoy working with numbers and formulas?

Then join us at Novo Nordisk in Bagsværd, as we are looking for a scientist with cleaning experience who can help us support the daily production and develop and establish new methods to investigate cleaning procedures at the lab scale.

    The Position
We are seeking a cleaning scientist with an understanding of cleaning processes and principles and a creative flair for continuous improvement. In the job, you will have two primary areas of responsibility: Supporting projects on cleaning strategy and supporting the daily API production in matters regarding cleaning.

    Your primary responsibilities will be:

    • supporting the daily API production in matters regarding cleaning such as inputs and rationales

    • various cleaning experiments in the laboratory

    • authoring reports

    • supporting audits and regulatory inspections.

You will work with experienced colleagues across the organisation, ensuring implementation of new cleaning processes, as well as ongoing support of existing facilities and products.

The position will give you great opportunities to develop your skills within cleaning, collaborate with individuals and teams, and build a solid and well-functioning network. You will experience an enthusiastic working climate focused on quality, teamwork, and delivery.

Our department is located in Bagsværd, which will be your primary location, but we also have offices in Kalundborg. As our primary objective is to support the production facilities in Kalundborg, you should therefore expect to work in Kalundborg to some extent, typically 3-4 days a month.

    Qualifications
    We expect that you have:

    • solid theoretical background and an academic degree (Cand. Pharm, Chemical Engineer, Chemistry or equivalent)

    • knowledge within the field of cleaning from pharmaceutical production

    • potentially, also experience in managing smaller projects in a GMP regulated environment.

    • experience in troubleshooting to support the manufacturing activities.

On a personal level, you have a positive attitude; you are committed and work in a systematic manner. You find challenges exciting, and you can maintain your overview and act in compliance with regulations despite being busy and involved in various tasks simultaneously. You are fluent in both written and spoken English.

It is important that you are a good communicator, since you will be in daily contact with other scientists, technicians, production employees, project managers, analytical laboratories, and others, both in Denmark and the US.

    About the department
In the Product Supply (PS) section of Novo Nordisk we manufacture the pharmaceutical backbone of our many quality APIs. PS API Process Support is part of Manufacturing Development, and we have six teams responsible for the timely support of the many processes that create our APIs.

You can look forward to becoming part of a dynamic, well-functioning, and cross functional team, consisting of 13 scientists, 1 laboratory technician, and 3 other functions. As part of this team, we have a well-established cleaning group of 5 scientists. We thrive on professional challenges and work independently with great individual responsibility and a high level of commitment. We collaborate with different stakeholders in the organization including production departments, research, regulatory affairs, and QA. We therefore enjoy being part of a wide range of activities and projects within the organization.
