    Director, Media & Connections - Denmark, Sweden, Norway or Finland.

    12 month fixed term contract

    The Media & Connections Director belongs to a team of media experts, who are knowledgeable thought leader in the areas of Media Beliefs, Media Productivity and Media activation.


    The Media & Connections Director is a key player in the IMX (integrated marketing experience) team who understands the consumer/shopper media opportunities in their respective area of the OU (Operating Unit), our brands' competitive landscape and who defines strategies and tactics to plan our media investments to better connect with each brand's audience.

    The Media & Connections Director will:

    • Translate global and central OU connection plans into local media plans: being the lead of media channel choices and strategies locally.
    • Work very closely with the Senior Media Operations Director West and the Media Operations Manager Nordics for each respective area. Supporting, supervising, and co-managing the local media activities and local media teams.
    • Work closely with the Frontline Marketing Area Directors and Frontline Marketing teams to ensure we have the most effective and efficient media plans for our brands across respective markets, out-performing versus competitors in all brand program KPIs.
    • Collaborate with the Media team, Connection Planning team and the End-to-End Experience Strategy teams to translate Operating Unit connections plans across our brands/campaigns into efficient and effective media plans, recommending allocation of activation investment to our consumer and shopper touchpoints.
    • Scale our brand plans and corresponding Connection Plans, lift and shift best media practices and implement a single way-of-approaching media within our Operating Unit.
    • Operate as an ambassador of the networked organization in the Media & Connections discipline.
    • Leverage all the potential synergies in the media planning and negotiation within the OU
    • Coordinate media agency relationships and media planning and buying with Procurement, making sure TCCC performs an efficient buying and receiving maximum value out of the negotiations.
    • Control & report media investment (real vs planned), approving the Agency buying orders, shifts and invoices and recommending corrective actions when necessary. Preparing budget evolution information (real vs. planned investment) and revising and approving the media buying POs for media agencies and media partners.
    • Confirm alignment with Connection Planning's recommend ideal investment split by brand and channel for our portfolio of brands.
    • Constantly checking and reporting the status of our brand presence and performance, governing TCCC's Responsible Marketing Policy, productivity and key media KPIs.
    • Partner with stakeholders to track and evolve the existing media and digital measurement discipline, ensuring maximum utilization of existing protocols and tools, and leveraging learnings for each of the markets within the OU.
    • Ensure that we have one presence, one voice and one calendar for our brands in all the various media channels, that are connected to global strategies and guidelines as well as relevant to the OU.
    • Connect our media plans with the Social Media real-time amplification of our brands (calendar, content and media), connecting with Social Media teams and other IMX functions.
    • Establish a routine with the crisis management team in order to solve potential issues in (social) media in a timely manner.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Significant multimedia and leadership experience; media planning/ comms planning experience preferable.
    • Direct experience with media agency management, media strategy, media planning and negotiation, as well as social media channels
    • Deep understanding of the evolved media landscape
    • High ability to control large media budgets
    • Preference for individuals that have worked in media agencies or media roles in the past.
    • Experience working in cross-functional and cross-geographical teams is preferred
    • Leading strategic conversations, negotiations and alignment with senior and key stakeholders
    • Ability to lead and develop a diverse team
    • Role will require frequent communication with key internal stakeholders
    • Role will also interact frequently with external parties, particularly agencies and media companies.

    The role must be based in Denmark, Sweden, Norway or Finland.
