    The position

    With the ongoing growth of our therapeutic areas and our drug portfolio, it is increasingly important that we provide clear prioritisation within our portfolio to the organisation and support the product development pipeline towards senior management and Governance.

    The Development Portfolio Insights & Analysis team is looking for an enthusiastic colleague to drive strategic frameworks and projects towards senior management.

    This role requires a combination of analytical skills and collaborative ways of working, focusing on supporting various strategic portfolio deliverables.

    Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
    Lead the prioritisation framework of our late-stage assets. This includes driving prioritising decisions and updating the framework in alignment with various stakeholders across the organisation. Support the R&D long term forecasting process including driving alignment across the organisation. Identify opportunities, industry trends and insights and provide portfolio analysis using proven subject matter or portfolio management expertise. Support other strategic portfolio projects with organisational reach within the EVP area and across the full value chain. Ensure the quality of our analysis by regularly checking the data in our portfolio system is up to date.

    As Portfolio Manager, you will be expected to proactively execute strategic frameworks and projects with a varying degree of autonomy.

    You are the perfect candidate if you show strong project management skills with a strategic and stakeholder centered approach and are eager to understand drug development at Novo Nordisk.

    Qualifications Master of Science within Economics, Life sciences or similar.

    You are recognised for your strategic mindset, strong project and stakeholder management skills and have supported strategic projects in complex business areas on behalf of senior management.

    Experience in portfolio analysis or investment management is a plus. Understanding of drug development from a practical or scientific angle is a plus. Good collaborator and team player in a dynamic team with different skillsets and tasks. Eagerness to learn or expand knowledge about portfolio management in a pharmaceutical company. Finally, you have a positive "can-do" attitude and thrive in a complex and dynamic environment.

    You are proactive, ambitious, persistent with a degree of independency and like to challenge status quo and develop new innovative solutions to the challenges we meet.

    About the department The Development EVP area is responsible for driving innovative clinical drug development and regulatory affairs worldwide from phase 2 to product introduction and through life cycle management.

    We work in global project teams with focus on delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society.

    Our area is a staff function to Development Management reporting to the Development Transformation & Insights CVP unit. It consists of professionals and specialists with backgrounds in science, business, and finance.

    Development Portfolio Insights & Analysis is responsible for facilitating portfolio discussions at our two governance boards (with members across NN at EVP and SVP level) and for providing portfolio perspectives ensuring solid governance prioritisation and decision making.

    The team is also responsible for the coordination of R&D risk reporting across therapy areas and portfolio analytics to BoD (Board of Directors).
