    Description

    Our Nordic Consumer Panel Services (CPS) team, now part of YouGov, is expanding to the Norwegian market. For this exciting journey, CPS has partnered with Heco, who have developed an app called Optius which passively collects purchase data to understand consumer buying behaviour. Using this data, CPS will create a nationally representative Norway consumer panel to provide shopper insights on the Norwegian FMCG and retail industry.

    The Data & Quality Specialist will support in setting up a database that covers the Norwegian FMCG market and map out the Norwegian retail landscape. The Data & Quality Specialist will pair passive data from the Optius app with big data from our CPS database and maintain data quality through rigorous quality checking and adjustment. The Data & Quality Specialist will improve database coding through accurate classification and measurement. The Data & Quality Specialist will regularly analyse their work and identify ways to improve data quality and further evolve classification, collaborating with other Data & Operations colleagues to develop comprehensive processes & techniques to drive best practice.

    You Will:

  • Support in setting up a database that covers the Norwegian FMCG market and map out the Norwegian retail landscape.
  • Assist in matching the passively measured data from Optius to the CPS database, based on an algorithm and improved manually where needed.
  • Aim to enhance the database and coding quality to ameliorate recognition and classification of the FMCG data.
  • Analyze progress and translate those findings into actionable next steps.
  • Work closely together with a dedicated and dynamic team for this new initiative, but will be part of a broader team of data management colleagues internationally.
  • Combine working with different stakeholders to keep the project running.

    • You Have:

  • A Masters or Bachelors degree in a business or marketing related field.
  • An analytical approach but with a creative and innovative mindset.
  • A keen eye for detail in data handling and working with large datasheets, both numeric and character.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Solid knowledge of statistical tools ().
  • Fluent Norwegian language skills.
  • Advanced English language skills.
  • Proactive, can-do mentality that not only relies on the team but also yourself to overcome the challenges along the way.
