    Description

    Simple Western systems are Bio-Techne's innovative automated Western systems, including the instruments Jess, Abby, PeggySue, SallySue; and, the Milo Single-Cell Western System.

    The Pala Single Cell Dispenser is a benchtop analytical system for single cell sorting in applications such as cell line development, cell engineering, single cell genomics, monoclonal antibody development, synthetic biology, and rare cell isolation such as circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and circulating fetal cells (CFCs).

    This is an field-based sales position responsible for a territory comprising the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland; customer segments include Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, Biotech, CRO / CDMO, Academia and Hospital. The ideal candidate will have capital equipment sales experience, a life science background and live in the UK or Ireland.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


    • Responsible for the sales of Bio-Techne's Simple Western Sales & Single Cell Analysis Instruments, consumables and service contracts. Simple Western & Cellular Analytics systems are widely used in Academic, Pharma, Biotech, Academic Hospital, Government and other institutions, and so a broad range of instrument sales experience is desired, or experience selling to a broad range of customers.

    • Work closely with regional Account Managers and Sales Specialists to offer customers the highest level of value by supporting their research and product development with unique immunoassay solutions across their entire workflow

    • Develop a high level of understanding of our products and deliver value through a solution-based approach

    • Identify and develop Executive level relationships to drive key partnership opportunities in the Western & cell sorting Space.

    • Identify and prospect across a wide range of customer roles to engage and initiate discussions, via multiple touch points including digital video communications, email, phone, face to face meetings and business based social media

    • Development and continued use of Business Plans for each Simple Western Sales & Single Cell Analysis account

    • Use industry knowledge to initiate workflow discussions early in the planning phase of product development

    • Build and strengthen your network and relationships within the customer organisations

    • Understanding customer goals, focus, budgets, needs, preferences and all relevant influencers

    • Work closely with our marketing department and product managers to execute specific campaigns as part of the regional strategy

    • Demonstrate understanding of your territory and accurately forecast revenue on monthly and quarterly basis to the Territory Business Manager

    • Represent the company through networking at domestic and international conferences.

    • Complete reporting as required by the Territory Business Manager

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:


    • At least 3 years proven experience in capital equipment sales to the Life Sciences research sector, with experience in sales of disruptive new technologies to pharma, biotech and academic customers a benefit.

    • Minimum of a Bachelor level degree in a relevant scientific discipline. A research background with higher degree (MSc or PhD) is an advantage.

    Skills required/desired:


    • Experience selling instrumentation to pharma, biotech or academic customers.

    • General business skills such as negotiation, strong organizational skills, problem solving and fact-based decision making. Demonstrable experience in addressing the Pharmaceutical and Biotech market in this region will be an advantage.

    • Highly motivated with demonstrative interpersonal, presentation & organizational skills. Energetic, enthusiastic and hungry for success

    • Good technical laboratory skills as customer demonstrations are part of the role

    • Able to work with a high degree of independence. A "self-starter".

    • Proficient in English, with demonstrably excellent written and verbal communication skills. French language would be a benefit.

    • Experience in addressing the North Atlantic Life Science market (Academia and Commercial) will be an advantage

    • Strong interpersonal interaction skills and demonstrable ability to work collaboratively at all levels within the Bio-Techne organisation.

    • Strong customer relationship skills. Skilled in anticipating and resolving issues

    • Excellent attention to detail, time management and process management

    • Proficient in the use of computer applications and software. Familiarity with MS Office and CRM system advantageous.

    • Able to perform a wide variety of tasks and multi-task efficiently plus excel in working in a fast-paced environment.
