    The position

    You will be heading up our Biophysical Analysis team. The team is consisting of 16 colleagues of both specialists, scientists, technicians, and students. You will report to the Director of CMC Analytical Support and be a member of the management team.

    The team is responsible for the development and optimisation of a range of biophysical analytical methods as well as responsible for analytical testing and works according to GSP principles. The team has an innovative approach at solving challenges and finding new ways of working and at the same time we do a very large number of routine analyses.

    Your main tasks in the job will be to:

    • Manage team performance and ensure timely delivery of activities according to project deadlines and customer needs.
    • Work proactively with your team and your stakeholders across Novo Nordisk, ranging from Research to Product Supply.
    • Focus on developing your team at both a personal and professional level.
    • Play an important role in transforming our laboratories into a digital and automated setup.
    • Create a work environment that fosters enthusiasm & initiative and ensure strong relations & collaborations to your many stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.

    Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you:

    • Hold a MSc degree within Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or similar relevant discipline.
    • Possess pharma experience and/or are used to work in a regulated environment.
    • Have demonstrated to deliver results without compromising job satisfaction.
    • Have excellent communication skills and are fluent in English.

    About the department

    CMC Analytical Support is a department within CMC Drug Product & Analytical Development, and located in Novo Nordisk Park, Måløv, greater Copenhagen.

    The department is responsible for developing analytical methods, validation, documentation, characterisation, and delivering analytical results for drug substance, drug product, side chains, raw materials, excipients, and leachables, all supporting the progress of the pipeline in Novo Nordisk.

    Providing analytical support to all parts of Novo Nordisk, the department acts as a link between Research and Product Supply, spanning from early development to phase 3 clinical trials and registration.

    We have an innovative mindset, and we are on an interesting transformation journey to become a truly digital and automated laboratory.

    We are approx. 90 colleagues in the department, organized in five teams all working at non-GMP as well as GMP level. The department is characterized by a can-do attitude, and an open-minded culture where we are proud of our work and focused on customer satisfaction.
