    Treasury Risk Manager

    Saxo Bank is seeking a skilled Treasury Risk Manager to join its Internal Banking and Balance Sheet Risk team within the Group Markets & Treasury area.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Saxo Bank's net interest income and associated risks, including liquidity risk, interest rate risk, FX risk, and capital risk. They will aim to maximise earnings and optimise liquidity and capital usage while providing transparency and awareness for stakeholders to inform commercial decision-making.

    Key responsibilities include driving internal bank earnings and risk initiatives, developing and implementing new earnings and risk strategies, and managing risks and developing risk measures. The role also involves collaboration with various teams across Saxo, including Asset Liability Management, Secured Finance, Trading Desk, Finance, Risk, and Compliance, as well as IT.

    Our team plays a crucial role in the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), which includes members from the Executive Team and other key stakeholders. We discuss topics related to Saxo's earnings and risk management.

    To strengthen our organisation and deliver on upcoming projects, we are looking for a colleague with expertise in banking, treasury management, and market risk management who can contribute to developing the area further.

    • Develop and implement internal funds-transfer-pricing models;
    • Provide expert input into commercial pricing models and initiatives;
    • Collaborate with the ALM team to develop investment and hedging strategies;
    • Manage risks and develop risk measures;
    • Support the implementation of FRTB;
    • Analyse IRRBB, FX risk, and liquidity risk;
    • Develop risk measures and tools;
    • Enhance risk frameworks;
    • Provide support to internal and external stakeholders;
    • Conduct strategic analysis for executive management;
    • Support Risk and Compliance risk reporting and assessments;
    • Provide input to commercial stakeholders on pricing;

    We are looking for a candidate with experience in risk management or treasury functions, preferably from a financial institution. The ideal candidate has knowledge and understanding of risk management and/or managing the balance sheet of a bank or financial services firm. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar is beneficial.

    Requirements:

    • A relevant Master's degree in economics, finance, engineering, or similar;
    • Understanding of banking, financial markets, risk, and asset and liability management;
    • A passion for optimising processes and finding intelligent solutions;
    • Able to leverage technology to find future-proof business solutions;
    • Structured, detail-oriented, and analytical skills;
    • A team player with excellent cross-functional collaborative skills;
    • Self-driven with a passion for optimising processes;
