    Weibel Scientific is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and operationally focused Vice President of Business Development for our surveillance radar activities in North America.
    Weibel is the leading developer of Doppler radar systems for customers over most the world. We have been experiencing growth over a longer period of time, and are now expanding our activities in North America and that is why we are looking for a colleague to join our growing team.

    We are seeking an experienced business development leader with a proven track record of professionalizing business development activities in a matrix organization. You will join a Danish company with a long history in the US market, where you will report to and work closely together with our President of North America. Your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue growth, establish key partnerships, expand market share, and strength the company's position within the surveillance radar business sector.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to penetrate and expand market share within the surveillance radar industry with a focus on counter-unmanned aerial system capabilities.
    • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, defense contractors, integrators, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and drive business opportunities.
    • Market Expansion: Explore and pursue opportunities to expand our surveillance radar offerings into new markets, applications, and geographical regions to diversify revenue streams and mitigate risks.
    • Industry and Customer Engagement: Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to raise awareness of our surveillance radar capabilities and foster relationships with potential customers within the U.S. Government, Department of Defense and industry partners.
    • Mature and lead Weibel Scientific North America's BD, Capture, and Proposal resources, processes and systems to define and execute GovCon pipeline.
    • Execute business development strategies/plans for achieving Weibel Scientific North America's growth and profitability goals, all while remaining aligned with the company's overall strategic goals, objectives, mission, and values.
    • Develop and implement annual business development tactical plans (that are developed in accordance with long-range strategic goals and objectives).
    • Develop and execute capture and win strategies including business/technical solutions for pursuits.
    • Identify resources required to pursue a bid, and guide bid & proposal activities.
    • Ensure development and production of written proposals/solutions (technical, management, past performance) that offer unique, competitive, executable approaches.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing aerospace and defense contracts and business activities.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • 15+ years of successful growth experience in related federal government business development environments
    • Proven track record of successfully managing a dynamic Business Development, Capture, and Proposal team for a mid-size or large GovCon company.
    • Creativity and ingenuity in developing successful marketing and proposal strategies.
    • Extensive working knowledge of the federal government products and services contracting environment, along with a pulse on what is forthcoming.
    • Deep customer relationships and requisite customer intimacy across the DoD (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Special Programs, Surveillance and Intel Communities).
    • Ability to generate leads and build business in a competitive defense market.
    • Entrepreneurial, dynamic, and growth-oriented philosophy within a corporate culture of teamwork and integrity.
    • Budget-focused mindset for meeting corporate and business development goals and objectives in an effective and efficient manner.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required to support business development activities.
    • Must have at a minimum a Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
