    Job Description
    Fohntech Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Welding Inspector to join their team in Denmark with an immediate start.

    The Welding Inspector is to ensure that all welding and associated actions are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the approved welding procedure specification, before, during and after welding.

    You will be responsible for inspecting and assessing the quality and strength of welding work, ensuring welds are safe and fit for purpose complying with appropriate International standards, codes and client specifications.


    Responsibilities:
    • Verify welding specifications and compliances for site requirements
    • Be familiar with safety, quality and construction or maintenance regulations, standards, procedures and requirements
    • Ensure that all activities/tasks adhere to national and state health and safety regulations
    • Ensure welding procedures are being followed correctly and that welders are using appropriate equipment and materials
    • Review NDT results and interpret findings to assess weld quality and detect any defects or discontinuities
    • Identify the qualifications of welders and the validity of their certificates
    • Maintain records of inspections conducted
    • Interpret welding symbols, drawings, specifications and codes
    • Document results of inspections, including VT reports and weld maps
    • Identify and report any deviations or non-conformances to procedures, codes or standards

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • 4 years work experience as a Welding Inspector
    • Current recognized International Welding Inspector qualifications and/or equivalent
    • CWI (IWI-B) Certified International Welding Inspector Basic or CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
    • Certificate 10 in Welding Supervision.
    • Demonstrated Experience with Welding/pipe and mechanical fitting is essential
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings
    • Experience working in a contractor organization.
    • Knowledge of health and safety practises
