    Let's talk about the role

As our new Strategic Lead, you will be joining the Enterprise Architecture team, where we establish & implement the next generation of shared Architecture Guardrails and high-level architecture planning required to enable the rapid growth and expansion of Novo Nordisk. Your role will involve driving impactful Enterprise Architecture activities and contributing to our strategic Must-win-battle of implementing a Federated Architecture across Novo Nordisk. Your responsibilities will include facilitating the guiding and mentoring of architecture collaboration and planning for cross-cutting business needs, as well as establishing critical prerequisites in DD&IT to competitively respond to the core business architecture needs. Essentially, your role will be integral to Novo Nordisk's ongoing digital expansion.

Working in the Enterprise Architecture team and reporting to the VP of Enterprise Architecture, you'll play a key role in fostering collaboration with the entire architecture community within Novo Nordisk. Your duties will encompass the execution, structure, and organization of activities aimed at connecting various aspects across the organization. Leveraging your extensive architecture, project management, planning, and implementation background, you'll ensure progress, direction, and tangible results.

To achieve this, you must deploy deep knowledge about IT-delivery on all organizational levels, your strong social skills and ability to navigate the needs of a diverse and decentralized organization.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Mobilize and execute daily Enterprise Architecture activities, balancing technical expertise with process management skills to align with architectural goals.
  • Lead organizational change management in a complex stakeholder environment, driving outward change to support architectural initiatives.
  • Manage stakeholders involved in Enterprise Architecture activities, resolving impediments, risks, and dependencies to advance the Must-win-battle.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across organizational levels and functions, fostering increased architectural collaboration and responsiveness.

    Which competencies to bring?

As a person you are characterized by a curious mindset, a strong drive, and the innate ability to bridge abstraction levels swiftly. Your arsenal includes strong interpersonal skills, adept stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities, crucial for guiding and challenging colleagues, when necessary, especially in interactions with senior stakeholders within complex environments. Your effective communication skills, both verbal and written, enable you to articulate technical concepts clearly, ensuring complex information is comprehensible to diverse audiences.

Moreover, to be successful in this role, we believe you can tick most off the following requirements:

  • Extensive experience in IT architecture or project management experience within a large and complex organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing or implementing enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Proficiency in project management, change management, and architectural standards, with relevant certifications such as Prince2, Agile, PMP, TOGAF, or EA3.
  • Experience working in any formalized architecture framework, SAFe, GxP (GoodxPractice), or another auditable environment, will be an advantage.
