    Beskrivelse

CEPRI - Centre for Private Governance at the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen, is hosting an externally funded, collaborative research project for which we are seeking applications for 2 postdoctoral positions.

The positions are available from 1st September 2023 for the duration of 2 years.

    Introduction
The positions are part of the project Circular Supply Chains – identifying and allocating legal risks (CirCus).

The project aims to analyse the extent to which the concept of circularity affects the legal distribution of risks in the supply chains and whether circular supply chains call for new liability standards and new collaborative contract models. The project focuses on the building, construction, and housing commodity sectors with regard to both private and public purchasing as case studies.

The project is hosted by CEPRI - Centre for Private Governance which is a collaborative research center lead by prof. Vibe Garf Ulfbeck. The overall aim of the centre is to conduct research in the legal implications of private governance, i.e., private actors taking over (traditionally) public tasks and functions. CEPRI provides a stimulating, diverse, international, and inclusive work environment with approx. 30 researchers with various legal expertise and background.

    About the position
Under Circular Supply Chains – identifying and allocating legal risks (CirCus) we offer 2 postdoctoral positions:

  • Postdoc 1 is to focus on certification schemes, the impact of labels on contractual quality and safety assessments and liability aspects.
  • Postdoc 2 is to focus on the private law challenges for achieving circularity in global value chains.
  • The postdocs will work under the supervision of professor Ole Hansen, professor Vibe Ulfbeck and associate professor Marta Andhov.

Both postdocs will benefit from a wide-ranging collaborative research environment, networking opportunities and external activities with opportunities for traveling to other research partner organizations. The postdocs will contribute to ambitious and carefully planned research, outreach, impact, and dissemination activities benefiting from the expertise of leading senior academics involved in the project.

Applicants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the faculty's research areas and education programmes by visiting the Faculty's website:

The successful candidate will be required to uptake a full-time job in Copenhagen and to contribute to the research environment at CEPRI.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a clear potential to deliver high quality peer-reviewed research publications.

In the overall assessment, emphasis will be placed on the applicant's research and teaching potential.
