Are you ready to head the technical trailer services and minimising trailer 'downtime in case of a breakdown on the road at one of the world's leading internal rental companies?

Then seize this fantastic opportunity to manage the breakdown service and roadside assistance at DSV with 9.500 trailers driving the European roads.

"Growth is a natural part of our DNA. And it just takes a special kind of drive to keep the world moving. Therefore, this job isn't for everyone; it's for 'the one'," says Flemming Steiness, Senior Director of DSV Global Equipment Services.

Welcome to DSV Global Equipment Services
DSV Global Equipment Services is one of the world's leading internal rental companies with solid expertise in trailers and material handling equipment. We take care of the daily trailer operation and rent out different trailer types to the various DSV traffic departments across Europe, including extensive breakdown service.

You will be part of an agile and empowering organisation of 'doers', where we are always ready to go above and beyond. Because we know that if you want to keep the goods rolling, you must think differently and be ready to optimise and adapt.

Manage European workshop network and empower your team
If you are the one, your daily responsibilities will be to optimise our 24/7 breakdown and road assistance service. Therefore, you minimise trailer downtime, build a robust network of external workshops and provide cost-conscious solutions.

You will be based in Horsens, Denmark, and some of your key focus areas will be to:

    • Manage and empower your team of 10 technical fleet specialists located in Finland, the UK, Spain, South Africa, Poland and Denmark respectively.
    • Drive expansion and enhance the performance of the external workshop network.
    • Secure advantageous workshop price agreements and ensure a consistent follow-up.
    • Maintain close relationships with DSV Traffic Departments in Europe and understand their needs.
    • Establish and maintain SLAs and SOPs with suppliers for technical service of trailers.
    • Control and manage costs and budget.

You can expect approximately 5 travel days per month, primarily in Europe, where you will participate in meetings with external parties for service contracts, 24/7 trailer services, spare parts procurement, and annual tenders.

"You'll be part of our mission to always be efficient and differentiate ourselves while creating customer value. We don't want to be like all the others, but stand out and be best in class," Flemming ends.

Passionate and experienced Manager with a knack for craftsmanship
As some of your key challenges will be long-distance management and being aware of intercultural differences, it is essential that you have the energy, drive and courage to lead different types of employees.

Furthermore, it is important that you:

    • Have 10+ years of professional experience in transport and logistics; within technical fleet services, workshops services and/or trailer spare parts.
    • Have a relevant educational background e.g. in business, technical, transport or logistics.
    • Possess strong managerial skills with the ability to inspire and empower your team.
    • Are proficient in cost control and budget management, including understanding how even small margins matter.
    • Have sound organisational skills and a knack for creating transparency.
    • Communicate and negotiate effortlessly in English, both written and verbally.
