    SAP BW Business Engineer
    Are you passionate about transforming business processes and enabling data-driven decision-making?

    As our new SAP BW Business Engineer, you will join an international, cross-functional team based in Randers, Denmark, collaborating closely with colleagues in Krakow, Poland. You will be part of the Data & Analytics department, dedicated to building a robust, high-quality data foundation that empowers innovation and operational excellence.

    Your Role
    You will be at the forefront of our data integration and transformation efforts, working with SAP BW, SQL, and other modern technologies. As we prepare to upgrade to Business Data Cloud, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, implementing, and championing this new architectural setup. Your responsibilities will include preparing the organization for the transition, leading the implementation, and coaching or mentoring junior colleagues to ensure a smooth adoption of new technologies and practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Take ownership of analysis and solution design for complex deliveries, aligning cross-team efforts and driving continuous improvement.
    • Drive advanced business needs consulting, challenging and shaping solutions based on deep domain knowledge.
    • Ensure requirements align with business strategy and IT architecture, supporting dependency alignment across teams and domains.
    • Engage senior business owners, manage expectations and priorities, and support business case development for major initiatives.
    • Identify, track, and resolve blockers across teams, actively driving change management processes.
    • Drive improvements to delivery processes and backlog quality, championing Agile principles and values.
    • Develop and manage ETL jobs for efficient data processing (batch and stream).
    • Collaborate with Domain Architects and Product Owners to enhance platform solutions and lead technical improvements.
    • Represent the team in meetings with business stakeholders, explaining technical setups and capabilities.
    • Enrich data through ABAP coding or HANA views and support SAP BW architecture design and planning.
    • Research and innovate data solutions to address new challenges, automate and optimize processes, and improve internal frameworks.
    • Monitor and enhance platform performance, keeping teams informed on deployments, issues, and solutions.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience delivering SAP BW/HANA backend solutions from a business-facing role.
    • Experience with ABAP or other coding languages (e.g., SQL).
    • Hands-on experience with the full ETL flow from SAP to SAP BW.
    • Experience designing and implementing architecture setups in the SAP BW area.
    • Knowledge of SAP BW4HANA, Integrated Planning (IP), or Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC).
    • Experience with query design and reporting tools (BO, SAC, WEBI, Lumira, Analysis for Office) and Power BI.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in writing clean, effective code, version control, and efficient testing.
    • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
    • Advanced facilitation, strategic thinking, conflict resolution, and mentoring skills.
    • Ability to thrive in uncertainty, act as a change advocate, and influence decisions across teams.
