- Planning and having performed type tests for e.g. CE and UKCA marking
- Obtaining and maintaining product certifications in collaboration with international testing institutes and product approval parties
- Negotiations with external parties in connection with tests and approvals
- Partnering with development projects all the way from product requirements, planning how they should be verified to planning, executing and documenting fulfilment of the requirements in the end of the process
- International legal or market requirements for electrical products
- Products for commercial buildings as i.e. smoke ventilators

Your challenges
As our new certification specialist you will join a dedicated team responsible for product certification and external verification which is a part of our Innovation Centre in Østbirk. Our work consists, among other things, of planning verification of product requirements, including final certifications and legal documentation.
More specifically your main tasks can include:
The job includes external tests and product certification taking place nationally as well as internationally (within Europe) and therefore some travelling is to be expected – approx. 8-15 days per year.
Even though you might not have experience within all the above-mentioned tasks, we still encourage you to apply. We are somewhat able to adjust the tasks according to your qualifications and experience.
Your qualifications
You have an engineering background with experience within certification and legislation in the area of electrical products or construction products.
You have an analytical background with great communicative, collaborative and planning skills. You have an understanding for legal documentation, have a critical view and have good knowledge of how to collaborate across professional and cultural boundaries.
You have a practical, structured and analytical approach to task solving. You truly enjoy working in a knowledge intensive team, characterised by highly professional proficiencies and cross-functional knowledge sharing.
Since you will be based in Denmark but collaborating with many nationalities across the VELUX organization, g communication skills as well as fluency in English both verbally and in writing is required. Being able to communicate in Danish will be an advantage, but is not a requirement. Familiarity with other languages is an advantage.
