- This role supports GCA S&R to present in the warehouse project work streams to give advice from HSSE design perspective during project construction stage.
- This role will support Lin Gang Flagship warehouse management to review, coordinate and direct all HSSE activities after operation go-live.
- Manage all HSE and Security matters in Lin Gang Area especially for Flagship Warehouse in accordance with Maersk standards, customer requirements, and the relevant industry standards as well as regulatory requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of all HSSE policies and procedures within responsible warehouses for Lin Gang area.
- Lead the team to support site management and frontline teams to identify HSE hazards in their workplace and select controls to eliminate and reduce these.
- Support site management in her/his duty to determine the root causes of incidents and eliminate these.
- Facilitate HSSE legal compliance by identifying applicable legal requirements and advising site management on the ways in which compliance can be achieved.
- Lead the team to regular inspect working practices and factors which may affect worker's health.
- Advise site management on planning and organization of work including:
- Support site management in measures to support occupational health improvements.
- Supervise the team to monitor the performance of the site security team or vendors e.g. guards
- Develop and deliver HSE and security related trainings to increase awareness.
- Ensure the security and safety infrastructures are well maintained and performing as intended use.
- Lead the team to coordinate and assure the implementation of emergency response capabilities (first aid, fire and evacuation).
- Act as the contact person to external HSSE consultants where needed for highly specialized risk control.
- Create site specific HSSE reports on monthly basis.
- Develop HSE and security documentation based on Maersk global HSSE standard, customer requirements and industry standards.
- Manage the team to ensure the team deliver the objective as a whole.
- Conducts HSSE risk assessments and ensure corrective and preventive measures are undertaken.
- Support in preparation of and management of crisis/incidents/emergencies
- Support in customer and/or regulatory audits.
- Develop a safety culture in employees at all levels of the organization.

Purpose & general responsibilities of the position
This role support site management in their responsibility to deliver industry leading health, safety, environmental and security performance in their operations by providing professional advice on the opportunities to improve HSSE.

Fluent in written and spoken English, and local languages.
General knowledge and experience on logistics (warehouse & trucking).
Certified safety engineer or NEBOSH IGC is preferred.
TAPA FSR and TSR certified auditor is preferred.
Experienced in conducting audits against ISO45001 AND ISO14001.
Experienced in design and implementation of HSSE management framework at site.
Proficient in communicating with customers and worker representatives on HSSE performance.
Mastery of HSE combining theory and organizational practice is preferred.
Can explain how legal requirements are identified and their applicability evaluated.
Skilled in managing critical stakeholders to achieve the objective of HSSE performance.
Capable of reviewing proposed facility design specifications to ensure safety in design.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in cross functional team.
Experienced in leader of others.
Ability to deliver trainings.
