No Family Should Be Left Alone

As a volunteer family and school friend with the Red Cross, you can make a significant difference in the lives of families with children.

Provide Humanitarian Support

We offer a unique opportunity for families with children living at home who need temporary support.

Your role as a volunteer family friend can involve:

• Offering guidance and advice on everyday matters
• Facilitating access to leisure activities for children in the family
• Helping create structure and calmness in daily life
• Assisting the family in expanding their social network
• Supporting the family in creating positive experiences together
• Focusing on the children's education and helping with reading and homework training

The Importance of Stability and Patience

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• Stability and flexibility
• An ability to listen actively and communicate effectively
• A commitment to dedicating approximately 2 hours every 14 days
• A genuine desire to provide relief to families facing challenging circumstances
