The Service District Manager will Manage customer relations in all service and maintenance matters, to ensure customers can operate their Varian equipment according to technical and safety guidelines and with the highest level of satisfaction

Specific Responsibilities

  • Performs all required management responsibilities including but not limited to: implementing the company's policies, programs, and guidelines; ensuring employee productivity, growth and development; managing resources; knowing Varian's business and cultural believes; maintaining functional, technical, and external market awareness necessary for managing immediate organization within customer service.

  • Maximize customer satisfaction and achieve goals and objectives.

  • Provides direction for the delivery of pre- and post-sales services and support to customers.

  • Participates in the resolution of customer concerns and continuously develop the customer contact strategy.

  • Ensures adequate records and systems are maintained and up to date.

  • Schedules personnel responding to any service and support situations.

  • Analyzes operational processes, escalation procedures and performs training needs assessments for identifying opportunities for service delivery improvements and value add to the customer.

  • Cooperate with other departments (local Sales, Installation, Applications, Order Processing, Product Support, etc.) and provide them the necessary support to provide them the best service and maintenance services and optimize customer relations.

  • Directs the coordination of technical and administrative support activities including repair, preventative maintenance and engineering change upgrades in order to provide the highest level of service

  • Desired Qualifications

  • Ability, competence, and confidence to lead people and plan any technical customer tasks.

  • Technical specialist knowledge about accelerators is mandatory.

  • Experience with Varian tools, processes and routines is preferable.

  • Business applications knowledge of Salesforce, Unity, Microsoft Software applications or alike.

  • Management and supervisory experience or equivalent

  • Languages: Fluent in English and fluency in at least one Scandinavian languages

  • Travel within Scandinavia to customer sites and other Varian offices: 4 - 6 days per month
