Cobham SATCOM are looking for a Financial Controller to join our finance team. Our finance team in the business unit consists of 22 people, supporting our accounting teams in Lyngby and Concord, US. The Danish accounting team is today located in Pandrup, and as we are moving the accounting team to Lyngby in 2021 you will assist on the transition as well.
You will, together with one other financial controller and a senior financial controller, work on ensuring the daily accounting is accurate, monthly reporting is being done timely and efficiently.
We expect our financial controlling team to be the professional beacon around accounting standards and controlling. Furthermore, we do expect you to continuously help with improving our processes, challenge the way we do things and make sure our documentation are up-to date and of course being retrieved in the most efficient way.
This role will report into the Head of Accounting and Reporting and be based from our office in Kgs. Lyngby
As a Financial Controller your key responsibilities will include:
Accounting; Overseeing accounts, reconciliation, entries and accruals around month end closing. VAT reporting and reconciliation.
Reporting; Business unit reporting in the group consolidation system, monthly reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
Audit; Contributor in ongoing dialogue with auditor, and year-end audit to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
Internal controls; Follow up on internal controls, documenting, continuously improving, and simplifying our approach.
Reconciliation controls and follow up.
Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
Systems; Maintenance and development of LN6 environment together with IT.
Payroll; Assistance with input to external payroll provider as well as developing and maintaining the time registration system.
Annual report; Participating in preparation of local Danish account
Contribute to cash flow and balance sheet forecast and budget.
Transfer pricing documentation; internal controlling of transfer pricing and input to documentation.
Reporting of various statistics to authorities.
As a Financial Controller your skills and experience should ideally include:
3-5 years of experience from an audit company or as a financial controller.
Cand merc Aud, HD-R or similar relevant education
Knowledge of Infor LN6 is an advantage, but not a requirement
Experience with statutory accounting
High attention to detail
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Analytical skills
Good Danish and English communication skills.
