**Summary:**
Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our software operates to meet the demands of our customers. The data center Critical Facility Engineer will work with the Facilities engineering team to facilitate operating and maintaining the data center. The candidate will need to be experienced in diverse industries such as electrical generation, electrical distribution, cooling technologies and fire suppression systems. The Critical Facility Engineers, together with the facilities team, are responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the critical facilities infrastructure, 24 hours a day. This will include day and night shifts
**Required Skills:**
1. Perform routine maintenance tasks in accordance with Facebook Safety Policy and Procedures
2. Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions
3. Troubleshoot, evaluate and recommend system upgrades
4. Work with vendors and contractors to ensure their work meets Facebook standards
5. Perform all maintenance to ensure the highest level of efficiency without disruption to the business
6. Accurate and timely completion of work order requests
7. Escalate issues to Manager as needed
8. Continuous work on improvements, energy efficiency and quality assurance procedures
9. Participate in new installations as well as building retrofits
10. Responsible for updating the list of items, maintenance plans etc.
11. Performing administration and documentation related to work
12. Service and customer oriented, with good communication skills will be required to work in an environment where heavy lifting, climbing and a high degree of dexterity is required
13. Proactive, engaged and feel an ownership for the facilities
14. Well organised and disciplined in your work
15. Work may include travel both domestic and international <10%
16. Ability to work at heights and from ladders
17. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with internal clients
18. Respond to customer service requests and emergency in a timely manner
**Minimum Qualifications:**
19. High school diploma or equivalent
20. Three (3) years’ experience in a data center or other Critical Environment preferred
21. Three (3) years’ experience in HVAC or Electrical experience preferred
22. Documented electrical engineering expertise and / or experience in the electricity profession is an advantage
23. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook required
24. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems typically used in critical environments is an advantage
25. Experience as a technician- or equivalent work is an advantage
26. Knowledge of cooling technology is an advantage
27. Knowledge of fire alarm / sprinkler systems is an advantage
28. Knowledge of switchgear, emergency power and UPS systems is an advantage
29. Ability to read blueprints/CAD drawings
