Your mission

As our Retail Operations Manager, you will join us in an exciting period as our retail strategy is being developed and fine-tunned. To commence our transformation, you will be developing and maintaining our retail handbook to ensure the optimisation of retail operations and customer experience. You can expect close collaboration with stakeholders and a high degree of autonomy with responsibilities for designing, creating, auditing, managing, and developing the retail processes and procedures.

More specifically, your mission will be to:

  • Translate business policies into operational principles and retail guidelines
  • Create and implement processes to support retail guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in retail
  • Visit retail establishments to ensure efficient and effective retail operations
  • Ongoing assessment and optimization of retail operations and execution to drive productivity and customer experience in retail
  • Communication of operational principles and guidelines and the onboarding of stakeholders across the business
  • Liaise cross-functionally to ensure retail operational principles and guidelines are referenced in all retail related activities and decisions
  • Your network

    The Retail Operations Manager will report to our Senior Manager, Retail Development who is responsible for our global channel development and execution, across our 500+ mono-brand stores internationally. Beyond the immediate team, you will work closely with our regional Area Retail Managers, and external stakeholders, as well as internal stakeholders in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Store Design, Training and numerous other functions.

    Your location

    As our new Retail Operations Manager, you will join our offices located in Lyngby, Copenhagen. Under normal circumstances, you can expect around 30 days of travel a year.

    What you bring

    We expect that you bring 6-7 years of experience within Retail Operations. We seek someone with extensive project management skills including process mapping and change management skills. To succeed in this role, we seek someone who can collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on a global scale.
    Moreover, you bring:

  • Experience developing global retail procedures and policies, experience in retail management and area management is a big plus
  • Experience working across multiple retail formats, owned retail, franchise and shop-in-shop (concessions)
  • Firsthand knowledge of the luxury/premium goods retail sector
  • Experience creating and implementing retail guidelines
  • International retail exposure, working with teams in multiple geographies, cultures and time zones
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
