Radiometer now offers an opportunity for a mechanical engineer to further optimize the productivity of the ABL90 Solution Pack, a crucial part of Radiometer’s established Blood Gas Analyzer, used for diagnosis of critically ill patients around the world. Sounds like you? Then come and join the Radiometer ABL90 R&D Lifecycle Management team!
We want you to become one of the team’s go-to persons and specialists within mechanical engineering and drive continuous improvements on the product platform. The main focus will be working with components that interfaces to both hardware, software, chemistry and work with a wide range of Plastic- and Metal Manufacturing Processes.
Most importantly, you get to collaborate with skilled engineers and engage with colleagues from the production, assembly, hardware- and software developers, external suppliers, and lab technicians that help setting up test designs.

Put Mechanical R&D skills to good use
With our large installed base of devices, we have a lot of data and feedback regarding the performance of the products. This enables you to work on continuously improving the mechanical parts of the device. Expect to work with the following tasks:
As an example to describe the variety of tasks, the day might start with spending a couple of hours at your desk designing a test that can mitigate potential risks in product improvements, and then later, be involved in a discussion regarding the choice of just the right sheet metal component and finding the right vendor for the job. Before the day is over, you might catch up with the lab tech colleague over a cup of coffee to hear how the latest lab test setup that you designed is running.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who probably has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar, and more than three years of proven experience working with mechanical product development or Life Cycle Management activities. Moreover, the following increases the chances of success in the job:
