Are you an experienced software developer with a clear approach for building excellent solutions? And would you like to work with the newest technology and some of the biggest companies globally while being part of creating the best headsets in the world?
Then join us as a senior developer for our online team at Jabra where we ensure that our products have the optimal quality before they reach our customers.
Making life sound better
Through its Jabra brand, GN Audio is a world leader in intelligent audio solutions. Jabra develops and markets a broad range of wired and wireless headsets for both professional and personal use. Jabra is headquartered in Ballerup, Denmark, has sales offices around the world and employs approximately 1200 people.
You will be joining our online team here where your core team will consist of 6 international, extremely skilled colleagues with varied experience, both professionally and personally, who all pay a very high attention to quality. The more extended team counts approximately 18 colleagues, including testers, internal and external consultants.
Together, we are the final frontier before our products end up in the hands of the consumer and attention to detail is crucial.
High-quality code and process optimisation
As our new senior developer and lead, your workday will be very varied. While your main priority is to write well-functioning code and solutions, it is paramount that you enable your team to do the same. Being a front runner, you will engage and motivate the team as well as act as a coach when needed. Furthermore, you will observe our processes and take initiative to optimize them.
Specifically, your tasks will be to:
Communicate with business representative about their requests and then convey their needs to other internal stakeholders
Be responsible for improving and refactoring code base
Build cross-platform applications using Microsoft .NET and/or TypeScript/Angular frameworks
Develop web applications and understand the full stack of components involved
Collaborate through Azure DevOps services, e.g. version control (Git), build and release pipelines, CI, process flows, testing, etc.
Deploy and configure applications to run on cloud platforms, preferable Microsoft Azure
“We are looking for a person who has a clear vision of how to solve a problem, and who doesn’t just sit back and wait for instructions but instead takes initiative to approach issues in a new manner,” says Team Manager Jacob Dybdahl Winther, who will be your new manager.
Motivated, inspiring and an excellent developer
With your inspirational and charismatic personality, you have the ability to make people listen and follow you. On top of that, you have a clear idea of how to “work well” and make great code, and even though you have a diplomatic nature, you are not afraid to speak your mind – even if it means contradicting the way we currently do things.
With your personal and professional strength, you are able to make a mark on your surroundings.
As an experienced coder, you know that it is not enough to simply solve a problem, but to also produce predictability and transparency in your work. Being strongly invested in coding combined with having a natural desire to take responsibility makes you perfect for coaching your colleagues and driving their professional development. Moreover, we imagine that you have:
10+ years of experience from software development
Solid experience in lead development
Experience from preferably a wide range of projects through your career
Excellent English skills – both written and spoken
Great stakeholder management skills
