Teaching will primarily be supervision in product development and materials technology: Structural design, product development and maturing, materials technology, manufacturing technology and optimization, i.e. materials and manufacturing technology in mechanical engineering, but also in other study programs at the University.
Candidates must have expertise in materials science with a focus on materials applied in mechanical engineering such as polymer manufacturing and processing, aluminum and steel grades as well as scientific knowledge chemical composition and properties of polymers and metals.
The ideal candidate has high-level qualifications within above described fields and e.g. supervision experience in Problem Based Learning educations, expertise or practical experience from industry and in entrepreneurship or student entrepreneurship gained through employment within the subject's practice area.
Teaching qualifications including supervision of entrepreneurial students will be included in the assessment. Teaching and supervision will be conducted primarily in Danish due to the main teaching activities on Campus AAU Esbjerg in relation to the Diploma Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.

Applicants must hold academic qualifications at master’s degree level.
Employment as a part-time lecturer requires either relevant practical experience at a high level which has not been gained through academic employment with a university, or employment in an academic principal position with another university.
Teaching qualifications are included in the assessment of applicants for a part-time lectureship.
A part-time lecturer who is employed on the merits of his or her relevant practical experience must possess in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the possible applications of the subject/academic discipline. This knowledge is/has been acquired through employment within the subject/academic discipline.
