Denmark has set an ambitious and radical goal - to upgrading the totality of its mainline network. Alstom is there to set their ambition to life and has started the implementation of the state-of-the-art ERTMS level 2 baseline 3 signalling technology, to the trackside and onboard the fleets. This technology is stable and secure, and it will drastically improve the passenger experience by reducing the number of delays and increasing transport capacity.

We are currently looking for a Roll-Out Project Technical Manager to support this project by managing the technical contractual scope of the Roll-Out in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage the technical scope of the rollouts to contribute to the success according to project milestones.
  • Be the main technical interface to customer regarding system and subsystems.
  • Be accountable for the customer acceptance of the Roll-Out solution.
  • Manage the Roll-Out technical risks and the corresponding mitigation plan together with the Project Manager, in case of contractual scope evolution, raise variation orders and manage them.
  • Validate the technical design choices with the design authority.
  • Deploy the Roll-Out solution, meaning the customization and parameterization of the generic solution to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery and Performance commitments.
  • Build and analyse together with the Design Authority the Roll-Out requirements database and allocate requirements to Industrialization and to Engineering.
  • Be responsible of the Roll-Out design and application engineering activities and verification & validation activities.
  • Supervise preparation of the Bill of Materials.
  • Support Safety team for Roll-Out Safety Case by delivery on time all input requested (e.g. Documents, Analysis, etc.).
  • The interface with the Roll-Out core team and wider Project Core team.
  • Provision of all technical documents to the project core team members for the Industrialisation, Sourcing, Installation, Test and Commissioning etc.
  • Solution of technical issues detected by different core team members.
  • Support to Quality to consolidate the REX of the Roll-Out and the Reliability Growth.
  • Support to Management to define and perform knowledge capitalization.

    • Skills and education

    A master’s degree in electrical or electronical engineering is mandatory. Also, we require a minimum eight years of professional experience in engineering and preferably five within railway signaling. You must be fluent in English, as well as a Scandinavian language.

    It is also desirable that you have experience of managing a diverse team and have proficiency in people management. Qualities we are looking for is someone that can create motivation, promote teamwork, foster open dialogue, capable of taking decisions under pressure and have strong technical leadership behavior.
