**Senior Technician - Flow Cytometry and Immunoassays**

The Department of Antibody Discovery and Assay Technology is looking for a Senior Technician with experience in functional characterization of therapeutic antibodies with focus on Flow Cytometry and flair for liquid handling robotics. You will be an integrated part of the team and contribute to its antibody focused research activities within assay development, screening and characterization to support our drug discovery projects.
**Your job and key responsibilities**
The job is a laboratory-based research position with focus on development and application of assays to characterize novel therapeutic antibodies. A key responsibility will be to act as super-user on our Flow Cytometry equipment and perform cell-based assays for profiling antibody drug candidates. Part of this role is also to supervise/assist colleagues using said equipment. Application and optimization of ligand binding assays (e.g. ELISA, MSD) for analysis of preclinical in vivo samples is another important part of the job. This work will include use of liquid handling robots. The team consist of 4 scientists and 3 technicians and you will work together with a scientist on several research projects.
Our preferred candidate has the following professional and personal qualifications:
Preferred experience with:
+ Multi-color flow cytometry-based assays
+ Standard cell culture techniques
+ Automation of assays using liquid handling robotics
+ Immunoassays (ELISA/MSD)
+ Assay development/validation for detection of biomarkers
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following techniques is an advantage but not a requirement:
+ Cell sorting (BD FACS Aria II or similar)
+ Primary human immune cell isolation/assays
+ A strong interest in neuroscience research
+ Experience with drug discovery is an advantage
+ Flexible and able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
