Senior Software Developer (Linux and Network Specialist)

We are looking for a new colleague and teammate for the software team responsible for the platform and applications that form all our steerable antenna products for communication via satellites. We have a strong focus on product development to further improve our market-leading solutions and software will play an increasingly more important role. You will enter into the Global Software Department in our R&D organization and you will be part of a software team with dedicated and skillful engineers and computer scientists. You will work with all aspects of software engineering from innovation and planning, to design, programming, integration, test and support. We are passionate about making quality products and we do this as a team still leaving room for personal development.

This role is based in Cobham SATCOM’s headquarters in Kgs. Lyngby, Copenhagen.

You are a team player who is comfortable in a multidisciplinary environment where the products are developed in an interaction between disciplines (software, hardware, mechanics, systems and project management). In this dynamic environment, you are strong on keeping focus on the quality of the software and to set directions and follow the design strategy.

Satellite antenna and terminal development provides an opportunity to engage with various technologies and concepts including TCP/IP network stacks, proprietary hardware interfaces, Linux applications, software architecture, secure, defensive coding principles, servo loop and mathematical algorithms, etc. You will benefit from our modern development pipeline of source control and configuration, automatic build and test systems, code review and tracking based on Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Jira.
