Do you want to work on a disruptive water technology that could make an impact on the way we treat and reuse our water in the future? At DTU Environment, we invite a visionary and passionate scientist to join our ITS-THIN project team as postdoc to explore the potential of ultrathin carbon nanomembranes (CNMs) and enable an unprecedented efficient water separation technology.
You will be working with European academic partners in ITS-THIN who will establish experimental and theoretical basis for understanding the transport phenomena as well as physical-chemical properties of CNMs. You task in modelling of systems and semi pilot will enable the industrial partners to translate scientific findings into cost-effective CNM production, modular integration and market-targeting technology implementation.
ITS-THIN spans the entire value chain, and you will be the driving force transforming the creative concept into a disruptive technology.
Responsibilities and qualifications
Your overall focus will be on the development of a tool evaluating the filtration rate and associated power consumption of complex filtration systems. The modelling of the systems will be based on a modular concept, though which system elements are assembled to build a virtual model of a filtration system.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
