Cobham Aerospace Communications are currently recruiting for a DevOps Embedded Software Developer. We are passionate about continuous integration and building a deployment pipeline, enabling our Software Developers to perform at their best. You will be interfacing with requirements management tools to generate evidence documentation and help out with C/C++ programming when time permits. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in the development, maintenance and enhancement of our DevOps services.

This position requires a broad knowledge and desire to work with Linux systems in many different configurations and setups. The workdays can be hectic with a mix of development and support, and you will get to work broadly with 15 Software Developers in our R&D department.

As a DevOps Embedded Software Developer, your skills and experience will ideally include:


  • Candidates should have a university degree in computer science, engineering or a related software discipline.
  • Solid Git experience.
  • Makefiles experience.
  • Linux experience as our backend for development is in a Linux environment.
  • Python, Bash and/or Shell scripting.
  • Linux configuration and network configuration.
  • Excellent communications skills required as there will be a lot of interaction with our development team.
  • High level of English, both verbally and written.
  • An agile mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Desirable:

  • Jenkins.
  • Gerrit.
  • Some experience with automated generation of Word documents using Helix, DOORS, or similar requirements management tools.
  • C/C++ experience.
  • Embedded Linux experience.
  • Danish language is an advantage.
  • As a DevOps Embedded Software Developer, it is expected that this person will manage and maintain:

  • The existing development tools: Build environment (Makefiles, Shell and Python scripts). Jenkins. Gerrit.
  • Optimizing and developing the existing and new build environments.
  • The rest of time, this person will be involved in embedded software development for avionics applications.
