We produce excellent research in engineering and natural science and Aalborg University constantly ranks top of the World within engineering research and education. The Section of Chemical Engineering has a clear goal of being the go-to partner for regional, national and international industries in need of research based knowledge and support for transition of classic chemical production to sustainable and more bio-based production processes and promote the green transition of society. This position is announced as part of a strategic focus to strengthen our competences and sharpen our profile within the Chemical Process Engineering and Bioengineering research areas.

The Department of Chemistry and Bioscience is seeking a dynamic, problem-solving Associate Professor to join a team of scientists and experts in Chemical Engineering. The selected applicant shall in collaboration with colleagues in the section participate in development of research in chemical engineering with particular focus on chemical process system engineering, participate in applying for external funding within the research area and participate in teaching of process engineering skills and competences for chemical engineering and bioengineering students.

Teaching will be at both bachelor and master level in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Bioengineering, but potentially also in other study programs of the university. Teaching will primarily be within process engineering, design and simulation in the framework of course teaching and student project supervision.
