Research Assistant in unmanned aircraft (BB-BA59A)

The position is within the research projects SuperTEM and ADD2wind. SuperTEM is a cooperation between Aarhus University, Aalborg University, and Aarhus Geosoftware. The goal of the project is to develop and demonstrate that an unmanned aircraft flying with an antenna as slung load is able to detect water in the ground. ADD2wind is a cooperation between Aalborg University, Aeroscout, Siemens Gamesa, MHI Vestas, Ørsted, Vattenfall, EMG, and Loxar. The purpose is to demonstrate flights with spare parts from shore to offshore wind turbines.

The position is for supporting both project with programming, testing, sensor implementations, flight planning, flight operations, and participation in test flights with AAU unmanned aircraft.

It is a prerequisite that you have prior experience with drone operations, and preferable have formal training in drone safety.

The required level of qualifications is at master level.

    Employment is in accordance with the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities (the Appointment Order) and the Ministry of Finance's current Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities. Employment and salary are in accordance with the collective agreement for state-employed academics. The first 3 months of your employment is a trial period, and in this period both Aalborg University / xx and you can terminate the contract with 14 days' notice at any day.
