Human Resources Manager



About the role



The role will be for a 12 month FTC to support during the acquisition and subsequent integration in the New Payments Platform (NPP) business unit. This potential acquisition is of a company that has offices in Denmark and Norway. The population of acquired employees is less than 500.

The role holder will work alongside the existing HR Business Partner, who will continue in role post-acquisition and is based in Norway. Support in this role will be provided by the existing HRBP, the M&A HR working group, and the HR SVP for New Payment Platforms

You will support the New Payments Platform (NPP) management teams to achieve their business goals, through the implementation and adjustment of corporate/regional HR strategies, initiatives, guidelines, processes and systems across all HR areas, including: organization design and development, resourcing, talent acquisition, cultural change, talent management development and succession planning, compensation and employee relations.



Act as strategic partner, change agent and business partner with senior management teams to assess the HR impacts and implications, based on market business plans, on a short and long term basis, in order to continue the journey towards building the organization into a high performing and integrated company



Role Duties:



• Reviews results of integrations to develop, update and improve upon processes and tools, consistent with business objectives

• Will work throughout the post-acquisition life cycle on all matters HR related

• Partner with people managers to ensure alignment and implementation of Mastercard’s HR strategies, policies and programmes, and create and deliver cost effective HR solutions for complex business issues

• Manages global activities to ensure smooth transition for all integrations, leveraging subject matter expertise

• Partner with People Managers to provide direction and delivery related to organisational design, talent acquisition, succession management, talent management and development, employee relations matters, resource planning, compensation and benefits, and performance management whilst applying your knowledge of local laws and regulations

• Build and develop leadership capabilities to improve leadership, succession and people management effectiveness through coaching, identifying programmes and facilitating team sessions to raise the bar on performance

• Act as an ‘Agent of Change’ and drive culture change in order to meet longer term business goals, strategies and revenue targets. Drive transformational change programmes, including Alternative Work Solutions, leadership development, behavioural change and process change

• Manage employee relationships on a proactive basis, with a business oriented approach, and employee relations matters, consistent with local market practices and legislation

• Implement and monitor Performance Management processes, to develop a performance driven culture. Facilitating the identification and management of High Potential individuals and identifying training, education and development needs and providing appropriate solutions, tailored to meet the needs of individual businesses

• In addition, this role will work alongside the union and collective bargaining agreements already in place



All About You:



• Experience of working through an acquisition in an HR role

• Experience of unions and collective bargaining agreements

• Demonstrated success coordinating and delivering corporate HR programs/processes (e.g., talent management, year-end compensation planning) and reporting on progress

• Demonstrated success when consulting with leaders and other stakeholders on the local HR issues

• Experience building relationships and collaborating with other key stakeholders

• Demonstrates strategic agility, sets priorities in line with business requirements

• Must be deeply knowledgeable about key interdependencies within the organization both within HR (across all HR disciplines/COEs) and outside of HR (Payroll, Finance, O&T)

• Comfortable operating with ambiguity

• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail/follow through
