Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a vacant part-time teaching assistant professorship at the Department of International Economics, Government and Business.
The core research areas of the department unite the study of states, markets, and international firms in the context of societal challenges faced by emerging and advanced economies. We are creating a vibrant international hub for research and research-based teaching exploring international business, economics and politics, as well as the intersection between them. EGB’s research combines disciplines and is of direct relevance to business, policy-makers and scholars. We deliver research-based teaching into undergraduate and graduate teaching in programs such as International Business, International Business and Politics, and International Business in Asia. The position of teaching assistant professor is a part-time educational position. Teaching assistant professors must complete a university pedagogical program at CBS.
The employment period is 6 years. No later than six months before the end of the sixth year of employment, a written assessment must be provided of the teaching assistant professor’s qualifications for the purpose of evaluating whether the teaching assistant professor has acquired the qualifications necessary to teach at the level of teaching associate professor. This evaluation includes the teaching assistant professor’s completion of a university pedagogical programme. If the employee is evaluated and found to be academically qualified at the level of teaching associate professor, the person transfers to this position. If the employee is evaluated and found not to be academically qualified, the teaching assistant professor leaves his or her position without further notice at the end of the period.
