Our operation in Silkeborg is a technical centre for processes such as UHT, membranes and butter & mixing. Our customers are varied, spanning across multiple countries in Europe, and require different solutions to their needs. To continue our relationships with our customers, we are looking for a Bid Manager with strong interpersonal and team working skills.

About the role

As a Bid Manager your objective is to support sales to win new business by generating winning proposals. You’ll do this by working with many different departments to scope out the best compliant solution for the project. You’ll then be responsible for creating the bid document which will include all elements of the bid including pricing. You’ll also be expected to meet proposal lead times, on which you’ll be targeted.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing proposal plans and arranging kick-off meetings with various departments
  • Closely working with engineering to develop solutions which meet our customers’ requirements
  • Identifying and capturing all non-compliance from customer requirements
  • Reaching out to various departments for obtaining costs. Departments include project management, engineering, installation & commissioning and supply chain
  • Making adjustments to proposals and resubmitting these to the customer
  • Managing internal communication between departments and / or Business Units towards building one proposal
  • Your success will depend on your ability to understand and handle the breadth and complexity of the solutions you create. Therefore, you’ll need to be able to strike a balance between technical and process knowledge, as well as being able to navigate your way through our internal processes.


    This is a challenging role involving the design of complex solutions. Therefore, we are looking for organised individuals who can display good attention to detail and can deliver under high-pressure situations.

    As a minimum, we’re looking for you to have:

  • Experience in a process engineer role in the dairy & food Industry
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of the applications and technology used in the mechanical / chemical / dairy and food industries
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects at any one time.
  • Ability to manage various stakeholders
  • Experience working in a proposal or project manager department, acting as a bid manager
