ALK has recently launched a new transformational growth strategy with the aim of developing new solutions to help even more people dealing with allergies. The ambitions are high as we want to deliver the best solutions for our customers. Our new team, Business Innovation & Incubation, is responsible for fueling that growth by creating new business innovation and thereby driving ALK’s short- and long-term strategy to grow the business.

You will become part of our Business Innovation & Incubation team of four Managers & Directors. You will drive and be responsible for key projects and pilots and report directly to the Head of Business Innovation & Incubation. You are expected to work team-oriented but also self-motivated and independent and being comfortable with assuming the primary responsibility for key strategic Business Development opportunities that can drive significant growth for ALK. You will get the opportunity to grow and expand your professional skills and exposure to both top management, our markets, and external parties.

Build and drive new business models and opportunities

Your main responsibility is to drive end-to-end business innovation projects, test, and understand the validity of those models, incubate the ones with potential and hand it over when appropriately product-market fit is placed. The specific tasks can include (but are not limited to):

  • Research new business opportunities, possible M&A targets, strategic alliances and partnerships with current markets, adjacent markets, and new geographies
  • Understand key business related issues for ALK and flesh out key strategic opportunities based on that
  • Scope projects and involve the right stakeholders in order to understand validity and feasibility of the specific business opportunity
  • Form and create a team with the right set of competencies across ALK to quickly test the model
  • Present the project and get insights from internal stakeholders
  • Secure ownership is placed in the right place where the model can be scaled
  • Collaborate with global country/region managers and other departments within ALK to generate the insights needed for the decision-making process on new business opportunities
  • Commercial background with best-in-class results

    We expect you to have an academic Master’s Degree in business administration, finance, marketing, pharmaceuticals or similar, with top results. You bring 5+ years of experience from a similar position, where you have driven innovation and/or business development activies based on strategic opportunities pursued. Having had “dirty hands” and actually developed companies and/or business opportunities is a plus. Experience from the pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not a requirement.

    As a person, you are used to seeking out and work with a wide range of stakeholders. You have the strategic- and innovative mindset to think holistically and across the business and develop new adjacent business opportunities. You thrive with working project oriented, possess great stakeholder management skills and love to build stuff. Finally, you have a strong business acumen and you master English on a high, professional level.
