The job

As Principal Engineer in LogPoint, you will work with exciting technical challenges, from designing and developing data-intensive solutions in the cloud to coaching other developers and implementing best practices. You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager for Cloud-based Analytics Services, and be a part of the team, which will influence the vision and path forward for the engineering team based on your experience and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop critical solutions used daily by our customers and partners across the world.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate other engineers, relying on your experience and best practices.
  • Partner and work collaboratively with stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams as well as customers and partners.

    • Professional qualifications

  • Technical education at BA or MA level, but solid experience from a similar role is more important.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, and 2+ years as Principal/Lead Engineer.
  • A track record of successfully leading development on large mission critical projects, cross-company coordination and communication, and building large scale cloud services.
  • Experience designing complex, highly available, data-intensive, and scalable systems.
  • Experience with and knowledge of Scala, Java, Python, cloud services, data streaming technologies, and container orchestration.
  • Experience with coaching other more junior developers, setting principles, and implementing best practices in engineering teams.
  • Focused on performance and high quality of deliverables.
  • Experience with data engineering and machine learning preferred.
