A three-year position in structural biology and plant biochemistry is available at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, Denmark.

The position is for a three-year period starting from 1 May 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Research area: Structural Biology, Biochemistry and Receptor signalling.

R esearch project : The postdoc position is available in Associate Professor Kasper Røjkjær Andersen’s group within the section for Plant Molecular Biology.
Investigation of the structural and functional aspects of receptors and signalling components important for plant-microbe interactions is a central theme in the group and we have recently obtained the first structures of a symbiotic receptor (Bozsoki, Science 2020) and a surveillance receptor (
Applicants should have a strong background in structural biology (cryo-electron microscopy/X-ray crystallography) and experience in protein biochemistry and biophysical techniques.

Who we are/ The department
The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics is part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University and comprises research within the areas of Gene Expression, Molecular Medicine, Structural Biology, Systems Biology and Plant Molecular Biology. There are currently 75 full time scientific staff and
120 PhD students. The department is responsible for two educations: Molecular
