Howden Axial Fans ApS is currently looking for an Operational Purchaser for our Supply Chain department in Næstved.

As Operational Purchaser, you will be responsible for placing Purchase orders, follow-up with suppliers and support our Aftermarket department according to project milestones and deadlines. 

What needs to be done?

  • Place and negotiate purchase orders with suppliers located in Denmark and abroad.

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and ensure defined Key Performance Indicators.

  • Proactively monitor and ensure optimised performance in relation to cost, delivery on hardware and software, quality and compliance and initiate corrective action in case of poor supplier performance.

  • Follow up on missing parts for complete delivery - software & hardware.

  • Ensure correct delivery priority of parts according to customer segmentation agreed with sales.

  • Track and maintain Non Conformance reports (NCR)

  • Create accurate cost budgets for proposals, based on standard price lists available and project specific supplier prices obtained and documented in corporation with supply chain.

  • What do you need to bring?

  • Minimum two years’ experience working with operational procurement within a project driven Engineer-To-Order environment.

  • Experience with production planning.

  • Able to read and understand technical drawings and technical specifications.

  • Highly motivated with a consistent ability to prioritise work to achieve our deadlines under pressure.

  • Service-minded and good at understanding and identifying customer needs.

  • Persistent and able to work independently.

  • A team-player with the ability to work in a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders where flexibility is key.

  • Fluent, written and verbal English.

  • Experienced user of MS Office. Daily user of Axapta an advantage but not a requirement
