We are currently looking for a Quotation & Tender Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing informal and formal bids and quotes through cross reference reviews, product choices and selections. You will research customer issues and identify possible substitutions or alternative solutions. As a specialist, you will interacts with the Technical Product Support, Product Specialists and Sales Representative to ensure regular communication on pricing and other customer issues. You will possess strong coordination skills, allowing them to drive the quotation & tender process and meet strict and challenging deadlines. In this role, you can also play a key role assisting the sales team to identify ‘solution selling’ opportunities.

+ Prepare quotes for tenders or coordinate the quotations with the pricing team.
+ Coordinate the whole process of both small and big tenders with the internal stakeholders.
+ Include Internal Product Specialists to receive all the necessary data for the tender.
+ Support Internal Product Specialists when necessary by looking up articles in the system for your quotes.
+ Assure you can meet the set deadline for the tender.
+ Make sure contracts are worked through.
+ Educate all aspects of Avantor on best practice for development of tenders and quotations.
+ Follow up with internal teams (e.g. sales), suppliers, and customers on any outstanding issues and make recommendations internally on areas for process improvement. Proactively interact with field sales to ensure regular communication regarding pricing and other customer concerns.
+ Provide high-level, quality service, closely aligned with sales, to enable sales growth.
+ Utilise VWR Resources: Utilize local and global internal (cross-functional) and external contacts to help achieve targets. Utilize VWR CRM database to manage customer relationships, interactions and information that will increase effectiveness and aid sales.
+ Performs other duties as assigned Targets: Meet/exceed set targets, including turnaround targets.
+ You have experience working in a laboratory environment.
+ You have obtained a high school qualification plus 3+ years professional experience in a fast paced, customer focused environment where there is a solution based selling approach
+ Having worked as a Product Specialist is a strong asset
+ You demonstrate the ability to effectively utilize technology platforms including CRM Tools
+ You are proficient in Excel
+ Knowledge of SAP is a strong asset
+ You are fluent in Danish and English
+ You have experience in working with tenders
