    About the role

    As a Junior Strategy & Project Manager for Europe you will report to the Corporate StrategyProject Leader, the position will support the planning, execution,and control of high-impact projects and business unit strategy development inEurope.

    The key task consists of providing products andservices to key stakeholders to secure the design, start-up, and execution ofstrategic projects as defined by the President of AAK Europe and executivemanagement.

    Working closely with the leadership team, you will engage with keystakeholders to gather input and secure engagement and buy-in for strategic projects whilst monitoringproject progress and results delivery.


    Responsibilities

    As Junior Strategy & Project Manager for Europe yourmain tasks and responsibilities will be:

    Support the Corporate Strategy Project Leader for Europe with the scoping and management of strategically relevant projects.

    Prepare decision material to secure timely and effective decision making related to strategic projects.

    Take the necessary role in key strategic projects to move them forward, as an active team member or by supporting and challenging the project leaders and teams on an ad-hoc basis.

    Grow in the role from supporting the team to taking on first responsibility for smaller projects as a lead with the objective to develop further.

    Analyze data and KPI's and challenge the business/project owner combining internal and external insights.

    Support the follow-up, review and the continuous development of the strategy and identifying needs for future strategic roadmap items, , new initiatives, competencies, systems, processes, etc.

    Prepare and update material for executive meetings as well as leadership conference calls.

    Organize communication material to create awareness and engagement in the organization, , quarterly newsletters and Intranet information on progress and local activities related to the status and implementation of projects.

    About you

    To besuccessful in the role you need:

    - Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or another related subject.

    Whilst 'time served' is not a primary determinant, a junior role (~ 1-3 years) in advisory, consultancy or implementation services experience in defining, planning and delivering projects and/or organizational strategy development would be indicative of the breadth and depth of the position.

    Basic understanding of the organizations industry group, trends, direction, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters.

    First experience of preparing and justifying business cases and value propositions; able to justify business expenditure by identifying cost, benefits, ROI, opportunities, and risks.

    Basic knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the organizations strategy with an ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

    Ability to address critical issues to meet project timelines and maintain stakeholder engagement and expectations, maintaining focus on the overall deliverables of a project.

    Builds consensus, resolve conflicts and applies techniques to achieve influence and impact results through the application of project management principles to initiate, plan, execute, control and close strategic projects.

    Capable in determining the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

    Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement.

    Ability to engage, conduct research and analysis, finding solutions and presenting clear, comprehensive, written proposals reflecting accurate understanding of business requirements.
