    DRC Safety unit is responsible for DRC's global safety set up and trainings. The team currently consists of 4 HQ staff, 2 roving staff with an additional global set-up of over 25 Regional and Country Safety Advisors. In extension we maintain a safety roster with members from across the world ready to be deployed to DRC programs or partner projects. We provide a range of opportunities and support for external companies and other organisations to implement safety procedures on both a strategic organisational level and through training in personal safety for employees. The training courses include a broad range of modules and services from practical training of staff who visit or live abroad through their profession – to assistance on strategic Risk Management and Safety Management set-up. In addition, we are a part of leading the Danish Interagency Safety Network (DISN), consisting of over 30 large and small Danish NGOs.About the internship

    The intern will become part of the Safety Team and will assist a supervisor in the daily work. The duties and tasks will consist of analyzing, reviewing, and assisting in Safety-related processes at HQ and will include, but not be limited to:

  • Support the development of a global safety e-learning
  • Review global Safety compliance levels for among other safety training
  • Analysis of Safety Incident Reports
  • Review of the Travel Safety setup
  • Safety Training Support
  • Management support with Safety Team Machform and Typeform content
  • We offer flexibility in the type of tasks, so you also have the possibility to influence the tasks, subject to what is relevant for your study programme.
  • About you:

  • To be successful in this role we expect you to be able to work independently as well as in a team. Additionally, the position requires you to work systematically with the tasks that you are responsible for and having an eye for details.
  • All employees and interns in DRC should master DRC's core competencies: Communicating, Taking the lead, Collaborating, Striving for excellence, and Demonstrating integrity.
  • Your field of study is not paramount, but it will most likely be within the social sciences and/or international affairs. To apply for the internship, you must meet the following requirements:
  • Be enrolled at a university
  • Have completed a minimum of one year of higher education
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English
  • Be effective in the use of MS Office
  • It is a requirement that you are enrolled in a university in order to be considered for the internship.
