About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible Summer Counsellors to support an immersive academic and cultural program for 15–18 year-old students from around the world.

Counsellors are at the heart of the student experience helping to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment while supporting activities, excursions, and daily life.

You will act as a mentor and role model, encouraging confidence, independence, and global curiosity.

This role is ideal for university students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals interested in education, youth development, leadership, psychology, or international program.

Key responsibilities
Supervise and support students throughout the residential program
Assist with cultural, social, and sporting activities
Monitor attendance, wellbeing, and daily routines
Support program staff with logistics and participant documentation
Attend all required briefings, meetings, and training
Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and pastoral care standards
Act as a positive role model at all times
Additional responsibilities may be added

Who we're looking for
Required
Aged 20 or over (due to the nature of the role)
Fluent in English
Experience working with children or young people (camp, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering, etc.)
Responsible, organised, and able to work both independently and in a team
Comfortable with active days including walking and outdoor activities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
DBS background check
Necessary work permit / visa in place

Desirable
Background in education, youth work, psychology, sport, or leadership
Experience in residential or international settings

Expectations
Availability for virtual pre-program training
Full availability on site for 22 July 2026 – 2 August 2026
Positive, professional, and adaptable attitude
Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and student wellbeing
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors for extended periods
